Enrolments are being accepted for Long Day Care at our Early Learning Centre in Brown Hill.
At Y Learn and Swim’s Early Learning Centre, we believe in offering children a rich play-based curriculum, stimulating learning and engaging children by exploring their interests. Children are our guides. We value them as independent, competent and drivers in their learning.
We understand that what happens today, creates the foundations for tomorrow.

Our time with the children in our care is precious. We want to share in the thrills of discovery, the giggles and the joy of learning. Through being immersed in the learning experience and being engaged and active in our interactions, we aim to build strong connections with the children in our care.
Our role with children, families and the community is something to treasure and we work to continually strengthen these important relationships.
We believe in celebrating diversity, enabling children to understand and acknowledge differences.
We endeavour to incorporate, explore and embrace Indigenous culture and other cultures, communities and identities.
Through our program, innovative design and safe natural environments, children have the space, support and encouragement to not only grow, but truly thrive.

Monday – Friday
Our Long Day Care program is offered Monday – Friday, 7am – 6pm. Children may be dropped off from 7am and collected at 6pm or anytime between these hours.
Our Centre offers full days of care and any children will be booked in for the whole day.
For children enrolled in our Long Day Care or free Kindergarten programs, a 10% discount is offered on swimming lessons.
Y Learn and Swim’s Long Day Care program provides nappies, wipes, food, sheets, sleep mats and cots.
The following items should be brought to the Orientation – a drink bottle, a spare change of clothes, formula (must be in the tin with instructions), a hat and jacket (depending on the season).
We are currently accepting enrolments for our free 2024 3 and 4 year old Kindergarten programs. The kindergarten program operates separately to Long Day Care. Enrolments are made via our online form here.

Payment is via Direct Debit which is debited fortnightly on a Thursday. Payment details will need to be added to your account in HubHello. Once signed in (Desktop and Laptop), select “My Account” and the “iPay”. Once iPay is turned on and your service is selected, enter your card or bank details and click “Save”.
Child Care Subsidy is a payment offered by the Australian Government. You will need to apply for CCS through Services Australia. You can find out more here.
Y Learn and Swim’s early learning team are enthusiastic, committed and passionate about the education and care of children.
Our recruitment process ensures that all staff are not only suitably qualified but aspire to the Y’s values of Honesty, Respect, Caring and Responsibility.
We have an Educational Leader supported by a team comprised of Bachelor, Diploma and/or Certificate III Qualified staff. We’re also supported by a Regional Director and a Pedagogical leader to ensure that we’re delivering the highest quality program in line with the latest educational developments.
We’re currently accepting enrolments in our Long Day Care program at Y Learn and Swim. Long Day Care places are available now with kindergarten commencing in 2024.
Long Day Care hours: Monday – Friday; 7am – 6pm.
The Y Ballarat is independently reviewed by the Australian Childhood Foundation to ensure our services are safe for all children and young people.
